20 July 2026 was a very special day for VECECAB — Vision for Empowerment and Capacity Building.

We were honoured to welcome the Swiss-based NGO Vocational Training and Start-Ups in Uganda and to receive valuable support for our students.

This partnership marks an important step in helping young people build a sustainable future through practical skills, entrepreneurship and greater self-reliance.

Students from our Tailoring, Building and Carpentry departments received start-up kits that can help them begin their own small businesses after completing their vocational training at VECECAB.

These tools are much more than equipment. They represent opportunity, independence and the possibility for young people to turn the skills they have learned into a source of income for themselves and their families.

The support also includes additional training focused on entrepreneurship, small-business management and turning vocational skills into sustainable income-generating activities.

At VECECAB, we believe vocational education should go beyond learning how to perform a trade. Students also need the confidence, knowledge and practical means to use those skills after their training ends.

We sincerely thank Vocational Training and Start-Ups in Uganda for believing in our students and supporting their ambitions.

Together, we are creating opportunities, encouraging independence and helping build stronger communities.
