At VECECAB, vocational training is about more than learning a practical skill. Our students are also given the knowledge and confidence they need to build a better future.

Stephen teaches English to our Carpentry students, helping them improve their speaking, reading and writing skills alongside their practical training.

For a young carpenter, English can be an important part of working life. Students need to understand measurements and instructions, communicate with customers, read information about tools and materials, prepare quotations, and sometimes apply for jobs or start their own small business.

By combining English lessons with practical Carpentry training, VECECAB helps students become better prepared for employment and self-employment.

For many of our students, learning a trade is the first step towards becoming independent. Being able to communicate confidently in English can open even more doors.

Practical skills. Knowledge. Confidence. Opportunity.

This is what vocational education at VECECAB is about.
