Last night was a powerful example of dedication, teamwork and resilience at VECECAB.
While much of the community was asleep, our brickmaking team worked through the night to keep the firing process going.
Surrounded by heat, fire and rising smoke, the team stayed committed for many hours to ensure that the bricks were properly fired.
We are proud of the young people and team members who took responsibility for this demanding work. Their perseverance shows what can be achieved when people work together toward a shared purpose.
After the bricks have cooled, they can be prepared for sale. The income generated through brick production is important for VECECAB and helps support essential costs, including food for students at the school.
Brickmaking is therefore about much more than producing building materials. It is one of the practical ways VECECAB works to generate income, strengthen the school and create opportunities for the community.
Every batch represents hard work, but also another contribution toward a stronger and more sustainable future for VECECAB in Kyabakadde, Mukono, Uganda.
