The students from VECECAB’s Building and Construction training have been hard at work in Kyabakadde, where they are helping to construct two new homes.
Step by step and brick by brick, the students are turning plans into real buildings while developing their practical skills, teamwork and confidence.
Working on real construction projects gives them experience that cannot be learned from theory alone. Under the guidance of their instructors, they practise important skills and learn how a building develops from its foundations into a completed home.
This project is about much more than constructing houses. It gives these young people the opportunity to gain real-world experience and develop skills that can help them find work or create their own opportunities in the future.
At the same time, their work contributes directly to the development of the local community in Kyabakadde.
We are proud of their commitment, progress and growing craftsmanship, and we look forward to seeing the two homes take shape.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support vocational training and practical opportunities for young people at VECECAB.
