Helping an 89-Year-Old Grandmother in Kasala, Mukono – Uganda

In the village of **Kasala in Mukono, Uganda**, lives a strong but vulnerable woman of **89 years old**. Life has not been easy for her. Some years ago she lost her son in a tragic accident. After his death, his young daughter came to live with her grandmother. Today the girl is **15 years old**, and the two of them depend completely on each other.

Unfortunately, their living conditions are very difficult. The small house they live in is **very old and in poor condition**. The structure is weak, the roof is worn out, and the house no longer offers proper protection against rain and wind. Even more concerning, **there is no toilet**, which creates serious health and safety risks for both the grandmother and her granddaughter.

At **Vececab (Vision for Empowerment Center and Capacity Building)** we believe that everyone deserves a safe and dignified place to live. That is why we want to **build a new small house for this grandmother and her granddaughter**.

The good news is that we already have **builders and bricks ready** to start the project. Our team and volunteers are prepared to help.

However, we still need support to make this possible. We are currently looking for donations for:

Cement
Sand
Iron sheests for the roof
transport costs
Basic constructiomn materials
Money to complete the building

Building Hope in Kasala, Mukono - Uganda

Today was an important step forward in our mission to support an 89-year-old grandmother in Kasala, Mukono. Together with our team, we loaded bricks that will be used to build her a safe and dignified home.

After losing her son in a tragic accident, she now cares for her 15-year-old granddaughter. Their current living conditions are extremely difficult, with an old, unsafe house and no proper sanitation.

But today, there is hope.

With the bricks now ready and builders prepared, the foundation for a new beginning is being laid. This house will not just be a structure—it will be a place of safety, dignity, and future for both grandmother and granddaughter.
